The Wolves of Langston - Self-DM Pack (Optional)
The Wolves of Langston - Self-DM Pack (Optional)
necessary for Wolves of Langston
Cool storie that play very well. I had a great time doing it. Now up for the next one.
I didn't have minis, but I used tokens, which was also fun.
I was a bit skeptical for this as a solo adventure at first, but was willing to give it a go. However, after reading the article on “duo” play, my wife and I decided to give it a go — partially to get back into D&D in a low-threat environment. We planned it out to be a cheap date-night instead of streaming another Friday evening movie.
Made it through Chapter One (after walking through character creation) and I am pleased at how the story is flowing. I did download the DM pack as well an am going to pair it with a VTT (Encounter Plus) as we move into Chapter Two combat encounters.
Our group couldn't play are weekly game so I decided to give this a try. The DM supplies help visualize the story a bit, and I do like the music that came with it. I'm probably going to be using this material for any campaign I happen to run in the future as they aren't too bad. They seem way bigger than what is needed for Wolves of Langston, but I was playing Fighter so I didn't feel the need to move away from any monster encounter. However, they are quite detailed and look great on digital table tops like Owlbear Rodeo. All in all, this is a great addition to the solo module. I'm going to give the Crystal's of Z'leth a try.
